I was having a conversation at the weekend about the amount of sleep a baby (5 months) should be getting through the day...It ranged massively!!! Any 5 month old mothers willing to share??

I don't know how much they should be getting although I think the total amount of sleep (about 14-16 hours according to "the books") is a better guide than naps alone.

For my DS it ranges at the worst from 1x45 mins in a day to the best which totals about 3.5 hours. The average is probably 2 - 2.5 hours.

I guess as with all things baby-related there will be a huge variation!
