What is going on?

my dd is coming up to 7 months and has always slept well at night - sleeping from 7 - 6.30. I used to do a 10pm feed, but dropped this a month ago and she was sleeping straight through. The last two nights have been mad - she woke 3 times in the first night and then last night was waking every hour. We did pick up put down thing, then gave her some capol as I thought her teeth might be at her....but I ended up bfeeding her at 1am as she was going ballistic and as she is in the same room we needed some sleep... she seems to be going through a clingy phase - I did think this came later but seems to cry a bit with other people which she hasn't done before - anyone else having the same thing? Any ideas?

We took her to see a potential childminder this week - but did not leave her or anything. Feeds seem to be about the same - the first night I put her to bed as dp was out and he usually does it, but last night he put her to bed as usual...I can't really think what is different - fingers crossed for tonight

Could be teeth, coudl be she is feeling a bit below par, could be separation anxiety (dd started at 5 months !!) but doubt it has anythign to do with visit to CM . Hope it was a one-off and you get a better night tonight.

your both right!! even though I think she is a genuis sometimes I don't really believe she is!! Actually I wondered if she was getting overtired as she has dropped her nap around 4.30pm. Lisz how did you deal with separation anxiety?

I amy be talking out of the back of my neck but ds started apparently dreaming at about 7 months - babbling in his sleep, little feet going like the clappers - and although he seldom seems to be upset by his dreams but for a few nights he got really freaked by the confusion between dreams and waking up in his cot. He's back to sleeping through again now (famous last words, he'll probably keep me up all night now I've said that...)

er , not well. It has been a long haul - dd is now 3 1/2 and , how shall I put it, is more adaptable but very unpredictable when left with other people! On a practical level we kept her pushchair rearward facing longer and used the Baby Bjorn more. It helped that we lived in a fairly open plan apartment so she wasn't actually out of sight/hearing most of the time.

If your dd has just changed her nap pattern that may be more responsible than you first think. ds used to react badly to changes in routine which skewed his nap, would not eat well in the evening and be grumpy next day.
