Warm duvets!!!!!!!

I have a cotbed duvet on LOs bed but it's only a 4 tog. Can't find anything else warmer on the internet except a John Lewis one which is 7 tog. Anyone know where I could get a warmer duvet for my toddler please! She woke up and felt cold last night.

I ended up piling a load of blankets on the bed but don't think she liked it as not used to the weight.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

We have (single though not cot) both 4.5 and a 7 tog quilts which I've actually loosely stitched together at the corners for the winter because I didn't want to buy another one. Could that be an option?

I have a 9 tog one for DD, can't remember where I got it from but have you tried googling 9 tog childrens duvets.

stillstanding · 07/01/2009 20:48

I think John Lewis has 10 tog ones?

fifitot · 07/01/2009 20:55

John Lewis has sold out of all duvets above 4 tog for kids online! I will try googling thanks.

gingerninja - your idea sounds a good one though I bet I do this and the weather gets all mild again!!!!!

Thanks for your help ladies.

You could buy a heavier one and cut it to size I guess. Just stitch the bottom up, can't imagine it would be particularly complicated

I used to use a single duvet on my DCs cotbed. It just folded over a bit or overhung at the bottom of the bed.

Thanks. Managed to get one in JL eventually and DD had a lovely undisturbed sleep last night - and so did we!

Matalan does 13.5 tog for a tenner, I got a couple for my LO's.

Glad you eventually got a good nights sleep

fifitot · 10/01/2009 13:44

13.5? I amy still get one of those as the JL one is only 7 tog, though she seems ok with it and I put the other 4 tog on the top last night so she seemed nice and cosy!

Thanks for all your help ladies.
