26 mth old DD has had sleep issues from the age of 2 (don't know the reason) waking x2 a night. I am wanting to move her to a BGB but have read in places that with having sleep issues ATM would hold out until things settle down. They are not settling down. Have tried to deal with it for the past 2 months but still not getting any better. Could I ask if you all would go ahead and put her into a bed or would this make matters worse. What if they don't settle down and she's still in a cot at 3? Don't know what to do for the best. Any ideas appreciated?

I would move her into a BGB because cots aren't designed for toddlers, they're designed for babies and if she's over the height/weight limit it becomes a safety hazard. Sometimes BGBs resolve sleep issues if the child has been feeling trapped.

This is what I thought. I cannot think of what brought on these new sleep issues. Great sleeper from 6 months old. All of a sudden one night woke up and flipped out onto floor. This happened a couple of times more and then alright but still waking. No illness, changes to routine that we can think of. She is v spirited. Think we may have a battle on our hands but will go ahead.
