ds is 13 months and usually wakes a couple of times a night which just means sticking his dummy back in and walking out. Fine, can cope with that. he has a bottle before bed and that's it until morning.

However, he's just had a couple of weeks of a bad cold, then teething then a couple of weeks of diahhrea. He's perfectly fine now but over the last couple of nights he has been waking at least every hour, last night at one point it was every 10 minutes.

We gave him 3 bottles the first night which he sucked dry and then last night he had 2 bottles over the night. When he was awake from about 1.15 to 3.30 he wouldn't have any milk but just couldn't settle. Also gave him nurofen but didn't seem to help.

Is this just him making up for weight he lost when he was poorly or is his sleep completely cocked up?!

Anyone else found that their dc's sleep is disturbed after they've been ill?

He wasn't this bad when he was new born!

Growth spurt - my DS had one at 11 mth, one at 12 mth and one at 13 mth.
Teething - molars are v. v. painful.
Walking? - really upsets their sleep when they learn to walk
Talking? - ditto

thanks. He's been walking since he was one (a whole month!) so I don't think it's that.

I've just done the whole pupd thing to get him to sleep which was fun! it took 45 mins so not too bad. Hopefully it's just a growth spurt!
