Need advice on naps

I have been trying to follow the GF guide on sleeping and routines. My baby is now 7 months old and had the worst night ever with the baby. Wouldn't settle properly at night, tearful, and had an unsettled sleep all night. Very unusual as occasionally only have to go into to baby one in the night if upset and pop bonjela on or wind him or quick cuddle. I wondered if this had anything to do with the fact that he was disturbed during his lunchtime sleep and morning nap ?? I have popped him back down for a nap at 8.20 this morning, do I leave him now for longer than 45 minutes or not this morning, that is the question ??? Any advice appreciated. He tends to follow a pattern of 45 min. morning, 2 hr lunch and can last until 6.30pm when he does down. What shall I do ??

Personally I would stick to your routine today. If you let him sleep longer than usual, it could mess up your routine. Good luck.

What about if he is so tired this morning and doesn't really want me to get him up when I try and wake him in 5 mins. do I give in and let him sleep longer ??

How about if you wake him up as usual but maybe let him go to sleep a bit earlier than you would at lunchtime?

If my DS (2.11) falls asleep late in the afternoon, it usually interfers with his bedtime. So I always wake him up even though he is tired and grumpy!

Will try. Thanks

Woke him up after 45 mins and was too miserable.
Put him down just after 2 and a half hours and he seemed really tired. Woke up after 35 mins. but I just rocked him back, I still keep him in pram for daytime sleeps. I am just hoping that he will have at least 2 hours today,as he was awake most of the night.
I think that I will have to move him to have his lunchtime nap into his own cot, and will try this week. When I tried before he just kept wanting to play and wanted me. So I moved back to the pram as I could at least rock him off if he needed me to. Don't know really what I should do about getting him into his own bed for daytime naps?? Perhaps I should wait a while until he is back to normal with his sleeping patterns or should I do it know while he is a little disturbed.
