did anyone find a solution for early riser babies?

ds 7 months...he starts to wake up around 5-5.30,
6-6.30 I can cope but 5.-5.30 is too early...
he wants his milk and play...I usually leave him up to 6.15 and give him milk at 6.30...
He sleeps about 45 min in the morning and 1hour and half in afternoon...

but if I go out will sleep in the pushchair around 4-4.30 for another half hour....

sorry in my experience there is no answer

Clocks will go forward soon and then it will be 6.30.

Other than that it's just a matter of time I think.

No solutions, only sympathy and yawns! DD is 4, and she was in my room this morning just before 6, so clearly I never learned the lesson about how to get her trained to sleep later. I've always been an early riser (hence my nickname), but the difference is that for the last 4 years I haven't had any choice in the matter! Oh well, I guess we can be grateful that at least it's a beautiful morning!

my dd - also 7 months has started waking at 5-5.30 for her milk too.... she has been playing in her cot til about 6 but then its screaming fits if i dont feed her! BIG HUGS - we both need them!

i hope it does!!! im pg with number 2 as well so needing all the rest i can get and these early mornings are killing me.... i do have one rule, and that is that we never come downstairs before 7am.... she seems ok with that! What gets me is that she is always asleep again by 8.30am and thats her for 2 hours!!!! i usually manage to get a little kip in that time unless there is too much to do in the house!!! Roll on jess being able to occupy herself with toys etc for hours - it will be bliss!!!

jessicasmummy...do you still put him down at 9.00am for nap?

she goes of her own accord about 8.30 - its lovely. the one i struggle with is the after lunch nap - she just doesnt seem interested! possibly get 20 minutes peace but other than that - she's up from 10.30am til 5.30pm!!!!

sasa my ds is the sameage and started this too, i breastfeed him, so at 7pm he oges to bed fed, then he wakes at 10/11pm, fed him, although he really is taking less at tis time , he stirs at 2am, settle him with dummy, stirs at 4 tryto settle if not give him a quick feed, the nhe woke yesterday at 6pm and dh settled him after 20mins of crying and slept on til 7.30

today he slept til 7.10.
i think you have to be "strict" about resettling

i am trying to nip this quickly before the bright morns and the birds are twwittering outside his window

our 11 month ds has been waking up between 5am - 6am (but usually nearer to 5am and sometimes 4.30am...) for as long as we can remember. Last week we switched to a duvet + slightly warmer clothes and it's instantly added an hour's sleep on - in fact I was late for work the other day as he slept in until 7.15am!! I really didn't think he was too cold before, as his room's only small and he's got a heater, but maybe he needed to be more snuggly and warm?! Worth a try!

My dd is 11 months and although she doesn't wake as early as your wee one I have been trying to get her to sleep closer to 7 rather than 6!

Nothing made a difference (ie later to bed, shortening daytime naps) at first but then I tried changing the naptimes.

I find if I get her to sleep for 30-45mins in the morning (about 9ish) and then for an hour to an hour and a half at lunchtime (1 til 2ish) she should sleep from 7.30 to about 7. I have to be pretty strict though and sometimes (or often!) I don't manage it, it is quite new though and I have my fingers crossed!

Your wee one is younger so probably needs more sleep but maybe you could try something similar??

I like your idea Dot1, think I might give that a go too!
