5 mth wind problems - help!

I really hope someone has an idea to help me with this. DD is 5 mths and thrashes around all night. Last night she didn't sleep until 2am and then woke 5 times until DS got up at 7. The night before was even worse.
This morning I was losing the plot with dizziness, headache and sheer exhaustion. She seems so troubled by wind - it wakes her constantly. She wakes, cries and passes wind all night long, Daytime naps are generally fine and she goes to sleep very easily in the sling. It's night-time that's the disaster.
Would infacol make any difference at this age?
I'd be very grateful if anyone has been through this and can offer any advice

Hello, my dd had problems with wind when she was younger (now nearly 5 mo). I massage regularly (clockwise tummy rubs and leg pumps -- as in, push knees up to tummy) and give infacol before her evening meal. She's been fine ever since I started, so I am not going to stop!

HTH

Thanks mookickick - will try that tonight after her bath. Suppose trying infacol won't hurt - used to use it when she was tiny.
Do you just give it once a day then in the evening?

Yes, just once a day. I know the package says all feeds, but evenings were the problem. You can also try to hold the soles of his feet together with the knees out and swivel around the hips. Good luck!

Thanks - will try that

Wind: yes, infacol will help at this age too. Have you started weaning? This can cause wind. 5 months is a classic age for a growth spurt, also developmental leaps -- sitting up, some even commando crawling v. early crawling, etc. really disrupts their sleep as their bodies try to practice all night long.

Ches - just started weaning in desperation. Don't really think it's made much diff but the infacol seems to be stopping the discomfort (been using the last 3 nights). Why is she still wakening up just as often though???
I hope your growth spurt explanation applies here as then I know it should settle down. She is almost sitting so it does make sense
