What is this Walk In Walk Out method I've heard a rumour about?

Anyone? I think it's one of the Baby Whisperer's methods.

I assume it's the same as pick up, put down which is literally what you do. When you're trying to get your baby to sleep rather than leaving them to cry if they're not settling you go in & pick them up tell them it's bedtime then go back out again. It's supposed to reassure your baby that they haven't been abandoned so they can go to sleep on their own but still feeling safe & secure.

Yep, baby whisperer. I have used it, first on my DD when 1 month, we both ended up overtired and in tears, but she is rather spirited littleun. Then more recently, it did sort of work, but not brilliantly for me, I still need her to be almost asleep, she has not learnt to settle, she is now 15 weeks.
