Hi all

My DD used to sleep until 6.30am until the clocks went back and then she has been up between 3.30 and 4 every single morning.

I am putting her down an hour later at night and making sure she has a full belly going to bed, but just can't get her back to sleep when she wakes at 4am.

Any ideas or suggestions would fantastic.

Not sure if this would help but I have been using one of these to keep my 2.4 yr old DS in bed.

I bought the Thomas one 2 days ago and so far it has worked - he has only come into our bedroom at the 'correct time' (in fact this morning, he was 25 minutes after the time we had set - he had been awake at 6 but I assume he fell back asleep whilst waiting for Thomas to wake up ).

Not sure if this will help as 4am is very early and if she is really not going to go back to sleep, she isn't going to sit quietly in bed for 2+ hours is she?

Sorry, probably not much help

Totall second what ceebee says - we had same issue with our twins at that age - bought a v cheap squirrel lamp from Ikea, set it on a timer and told them they could not come out till it was on and gradually set it for later and later each morning till got to 7am. Know several friends has worked for too. Would advocate the silent returning her to bed routine too while she gets the hang of it. explain it to her once and then no more interaction. V hard to do but so worth it in long run. Good luck!
