Stop swaddling DS who is 14 weeks? We changed over to his grobag about 10 days ago but he's just not grasped how to control his arms, especially his left and he wakes himself up. For some reason he is fine during the day but at night it is becoming an issue so thinking of swaddling again.

Any reason not to?

i've heard that swaddling should be stopped at 3 months for developmental reasons and some babies tend to fight it at that age anyway. if your baby likes it and it helps him sleep then i don't see reasons to stop. ask your pediatrician just to be sure re: potential developmental issues

either way, your baby will need to get used to being unswaddled at some point and i've heard that weaning from swaddling is hard because they won't know what to do with their arms/legs and they'll go thru a period of unhealthy sleep. i'm in the same predicament but my baby fights the swaddle so we're going to get rid of it starting this weekend yikes!
