9mo DS constantly pulls himself up in his cot...

...when he's meant to be going to sleep!

As he's usually pretty pooped by now, he constantly falls and bangs his head, and has gone from going to sleep by himself to taking up to an hour to go to sleep.

Any ideas on how to get around this? He doesn't find his grobag any impediment to pulling himself up.

mine did this too - he could get himself up, but couldn't work out how to get back down! It's just a phase, and he will settle if you leave him to it, he's probably just really pleased with himself at what he can now do

Mine did this as well. I had to spend ages teaching her how to lie down safely but after that she was fine.

Friend had this - she popped DS into a travel cot for a week. You know, the type with nice mesh sides which make it impossible for LO to grab hold of anything to pull themself up ......

gabster its not! my ds can pull himself up on this and further more he reaches the top with his little fingers ooutstretched and then did a bloody pull up. He's only a 15th centile titch!

My ds was in a grow bag too. He went through this phase at 9 months. Thankfully when he was going through it, there were a few of us on here going throught the same thing and were a few threads already on it. It did end but not until he was about 11 months. He did stop falling though and learned to sit down gently!

Kalo -

I was counting on this one as DS will be at this stage soon - my DS is 75th centile!!!!AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ds did this. I taught him to to get back down again and he seemed to cotton onto it pretty quickly. Sometimes he will get his foot/leg stuck in between the bars so I have to get him down myself.

Unfortunately now his latest thing is to shake his cot and bang it off the wall
