DD 2.7 woke last night at 4am after being sick.
Could not be arsed to clean up as nauseos my self due to pregnancy

Brought her into bed with us for the first time ever

she wriggled and moved and kicked and breathed heavlily and me and dp where demented. She then woke at 6am wanting to play- we told her to go back to sleep which she did, but meanwhile we where awake from 4am

How the hell do you all get any sleep?

It was a novelty for your DD, something special, so she was probably a bit excited and hard to settle. They get used to having their own space that they have to stay in.
