13-month-old DS started waking at night

DS has been sleeping 8-6/6.30 fairly consistently (when not ill etc) since 8 months.

Last week or so, he's woken up at least once a night and usually twice. It's about half-half between him crying out but not really awake, eg eyes still closed, and sitting up shouting.

Goes back to sleep pretty easily mostly, although once or twice we've resorted to half a dose of Calpol and he's gone down instantly.

So it seems that something is waking him up, but not bothering him enough to keep him awake. Usual suspect is teething, of course, but may not be - do we ride it out or are there suggestions out there to try?

My little one is the same (he's 15 months), I couldn't figure it out and put it down to his room temperature.
I've noticed that it's starting to get chilly during the night so I've taken out his thicker duvet/blanket and touch wood he has been fine for the last few nights.
As for us we are still waking up at 4.00 in the morning wondering why he isn't a wake (I can't win lol)

ours is doing the same thing! thrashing around with eyes closed we put her in bed with us and then we get kicked a lot!! DH can walk her she may fall back asleep but if she goes back in crib then 10 min later she is awake!!! nursing helps but... trying to stop or lessen the night nursings would LOVE to get some sleep!
