  1. What naps do they have?
  2. what meals do they have?
  3. What milk feeds do they have?
  4. What do they do now.
ja9 · 02/09/2008 13:05

8am up, milk feed then breakfast

10am back to bed for nap

12 ish up

1 lunch

1:30 nap

3:30 up

5pm - catnap? 15 mins ish maybe in pushchair.

5:30pm tea

7pm bath

this is roughly the gina ford routine but altered to be 8 - 8 instead of 7 - 7.

8pm bed

this is my babes routine,,

PuppyMonkey · 02/09/2008 13:11

DD2 did a very similar sounding routine when she was about 6 mnths, yes... but with 7pm bed so everything about an hour earlier. I didn't follow Gina Ford, though... just made it up myself. Oh and we never did the bath thing at all. We did In the Night Garden instead...

Basementbear · 02/09/2008 13:12

DS2 did pretty much Ja9's routine, I admit to trying Gina Ford cos DS1 was only 20months when DS2 was born and he never slept well so I was desperate. It did work for DS2.

MuffinMclay · 02/09/2008 13:14

Ds2, 6.5 months does this:

Up by 7am (often poked awake earlier than this by ds2, but I leave them to it)
Breakfast (one bottle plus bowl of cereal)

7.30-8.30 plays whilst I breakfast and shower

8.30-9.30 dog walk, ds2 naps in pushchair

has dropped morning bottle, may have a drink of water from a beaker

11.30 lunch

12-1.30 nap

2.30 milk

4.30 short nap (15 mins)

5ish dinner

6.15 bath

6.30 milk, stories bed.

babyjjbaby · 02/09/2008 13:29

do u stick to this everysingle day or just use it as a guide i think the routine ja9 put would probably work the best for us

OP posts:
MuffinMclay · 02/09/2008 13:44

We stick to it most days because ds2 seems to want to eat, drink, sleep etc at those times. The only real exception is lunchtime. If we're out and about in the morning he might have to wait a bit later to eat.

babyjjbaby · 02/09/2008 14:09

ok thanks great help will try from today

babyjjbaby · 02/09/2008 20:14

Our routine was very "ish" IYSWIM. Get up about 8ish ... no actually I think it used to be a bit later, breakfast, bath if she needed it, nap at 10.30ish, lunch at 12.30/1.00ish etc etc

If we were out when she would normally nap then she'd nap in the buggy or car.

If she slept for longer she slept for longer and fed later. I never woke her.

babyjjbaby · 02/09/2008 20:38

oh well wish me luck for 2morrow

dd2 thinks this about routine : rofl

dd1 loved it, she used to have regular naps most days. We (obviously) went out sometimes, and she was fine, but only had short naps in car/buggy. She tended to catch up on her sleep the next day, and reverted back to her usual routine.
