Is it confusing to DS to let him keep his feed at 12ish but not the ones at 3 and 4?

That is what I did last night. It involved a bit of crying but no where near as bad as I thought it would be. He is ten months by the way.

I am just wondering if it is confusing to him to allow him to feed when he wakes around 12 but to be trying to cut out the ones after that. I decided to try and cut out feeds between 12 and five in the hope that I will get more than two hours sleep in a row!
