dd2 (16 wks) went to sleep last night at 830 pm. she didnt wake for her usual bottle at 3am. she got a bit of a sore throat just now, from her big sister who has the cold. i heard her cough through the night.

shes still sleeping. SHOULD I GO IN AND WAKE HER? IM A BIT SCARED

Personally I would wake her, because she'll probably settle better later if she gets up now. Hope she's OK

NotQuiteCockney · 14/02/2005 08:22

If you're worried, why not go in and look at her. But I wouldn't wake her - if she's got a nasty cold, she probably needs more sleep than usual.

(I'm wavering on the same subject with DS1 (3y) at the moment - he's normally up before now, but he's got a cold, so I might just let him be ...)

If you think she's breathing fine, I'd leave her until she wakes up on her own.

nasa · 14/02/2005 08:23

no I wouldn't. just go in and check she's ok. they often sleep more when ill don't they?

Toothache · 14/02/2005 08:24

I totally understand your worry!! I'm forever going in a giving dd a poke when she's sleeping soundly..... just to check she's okay. If it'll make you feel better then go give her a wee nudge 'til she wriggles. She probably didn't sleep very soundly last night and is recharging her batteries. As long as she doesn't have a fever I'd just let the wee lamb sleep.

Have a peek, and if you really want her to wake up do it environmentally (sp) and run the shower, turn the radio up and if she is not biting then she needs all the ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz ss she is grabbing.

Enid · 14/02/2005 13:48

aah bless her. Does she have a radiator in her room, you could put a bowl of water on it with a few drops of lavender - good for snotty noses.

nailpolish · 14/02/2005 13:55
