My dd is now 8months old and has never been a good sleeper although things were improving just before Christmas with her only waking once and then getting up at 6am. At Christmas she developed a bad cold and cough and terrible skin since then it has all got worse. We have been treating her homeopathically for the skin but the cold and cough are getting worse and are very mucussy which makes using her dummy impossible so not helping matters in the sleep department. I have tried loads of things but not humidifiers which people have suggested. Anyone tried one or any cures for the above ailements? I am working and haven't had a nights sleep in 8 months so I am desperate! HELP!

humidifiers are brilliant good for both coughs and running noses. also try a vapouriser for blocked runny noses. we found both very helpful for ds's colds last winter.

BUT you say your dd has had this since christmas, don't want to worry you but i would get her to a gp as soon as you can, or call nhs direct. it is easy for babies to develop chest infections. there is probably nothing to worry about, but it seems like this has been dragging on despite your best efforts and it's better to be safe than sorry.
