HELP - Roving sleeper

My 11 month old has started moving around his cot a lot he is forever banging his head and getting his feet stuck (even when wearing a sleep bag). This is causing him to wake up alot during the night. Any ideas?

My two were always like this.

A sleeping bag is a good idea as it moves with them so at least they don't wake up through being cold or having a leg stuck through the bars of the cot.

oops -somehow missed the bit about the sleeping bag in your post (I appear to have my wine goggles on )

Thats ok I woould love wine goggles but thought best not last night he woke me about every 30 min -

He is not yet pulling himself up - should I buy extra bumpers? Some that wrapped around the bars were advertised on another thread. Really need advice on this - he has bruise on head from one of the bars and I look like I have two black eyes from lack of sleep.
I was thinking of buying a cotbed because it is wider (he likes to sleep across his cot.
Anyone any advice? - PLEASE

i wouls definately try extra bumbers. i of course went for the cheap option and tied some foam around the bars and on the other side we have some bigger stuffed toys. probably get flamed for it but thats what we do.

could you put some soft toys round the edges? (ones suitable for his age of course)

Thank you for the advice. Am concerned that at 11 month old he will very soon be pulling himself up on the cot so will have to remove bumpers any way. Why does he like sleeping across ways in the cot? It looks so uncomfortable.
