5 month old night poos

My 5 month old breast fed baby eats every 3 hours overnight, but also fills his nappy 30 minutes after the feed. He is wired after the nappy change so each night feed last 1.5 hours because I hate to settle all over again.

I am exhausted.

He still poos 10+ times in 24 hours.

Is there anything I could do? Changing to formula? Introducing solids? Will it pass soon?

He has been like this since birth apart from a few glorious weeks where baby Gaviscon slowed his bowels.

I basically don't sleep.

Mine was like that. 45 minutes on one side, do a poo so change the happy at half time, 45 minutes for side 2 then put her down to sleep. Then I would try to get some sleep.

I have absolutely no idea when her insides settled to a better rhythm. I lived in a blur for months.

My ds was similar although not bf. I tried to do nappy changes in the night as quickly as possible and still in a darkened room.

I set up a changing mat on the floor, with everything ready to go, and had a dim night light. That way I avoided waking my DS up too much, and he could have a quick cuddle and back to bed.
