I’d really welcome some advice. My baby is nearly 10 months old and is waking around 7–8 times every night. We co-sleep and she’s breastfed, and although she’s teething quite a lot at the moment, she has always been a very frequent waker.
She doesn’t seem to be eating a huge amount of solids either, so I’m wondering whether hunger could be contributing. During the day, her naps are also very short — often only around 15 minutes, sometimes even less — and she’s become very clingy.
I’m absolutely exhausted from the constant broken sleep and feel like I’m at my wits’ end. I’d really like to help her learn to link her sleep cycles and sleep for longer stretches, both at night and during the day.
I really don’t want to leave her to cry, though, so I’m hoping there might be a gentle, responsive approach I can try without resorting to controlled crying or leaving her to settle completely on her own.
I’d be so grateful for any advice or suggestions. Thank you!

Every baby is different, and I'm sure you'll get some good advice on here.

My youngest was a horrendous sleeper for 2 years, she'd sleep half hour stretches and I honestly don't know how I survived it.

She suddenly started sleeping through at just over 2 yrs, and the only thing I'd changed was adding vitamins to her milk. I have no idea if that actually did anything, but for 2 years after that I still gave her milk and vitamins before bed 😆

It wasn't a gradual change either. We went from half hour wakings, to 12 hours of sleep a night. I was genuinely worried the first few nights!

She was also breastfed, but was having a bottle before bed at this point - you can also give without milk.
