My neighbour is working in his garden at 9-10:40pm

I have no idea why, he got all weekend but no he has to be out there laying patio stones, hammering away. I got to be up at 5am. Are there any decent earplugs that will block out hammering so I can sleep? Any advice will be greatly appreciated

You need to complain to him. And if he doesn't stop then the council.
Laying paving stones surely is a finite process? If he's doing something like that every day it must be for business purposes? So it's not DIY. He should be ceasing such noise after 6pm.

Could you politely ask if he could keep the noise down after 10 pm and explain you have to be up at 5?

Our ndn worked 7 days a week until at least 8 pm- starting 8 during week days and 9 on a Sunday. They hadn't yet moved in. Power tools. Lots of them.

Council didn't give a shit.

Our ddog had a stroke and was pts. Vet wasn't committed to giving a cause but raised an eyebrow when i suggested the noise / stress caused it.
Twats.

They seemed surprised we declined their attempts at pleasantries when they moved in nearly a year later.
