My 2.5 year old has (mostly) dropped her last nap. She falls asleep at 9pm and wakes at 7:30am. (On days she does nap she doesn't fall asleep until after 10, and wakes at 7:30.)

We are managing it but this is not the norm right?

Other parents of low-sleep-needs children - where are you? Solidarity!

Do you also feel like the government should be giving us compensation for the sleep deprivation?

My not long 3 year old went through this! Trust the process you’re doing, keep in a routine trust me it gets easier! X

Too early! Aah!

I go to sleep at the same time as my daughter (and wake at the same time) because apparently I need at least as much sleep as a toddler?!

It also means I never see my husband and it is destroying our relationship 😬

That sounds normal to me? Thats 10.5 hours sleep which is low but normal. Mine is 2, she sleeps 10 hours overnight 8-6 plus 1 hour nap. Yes I am jealous of friends whose toddlers sleep 14 hours but you can’t do anything about it. If you want an earlier bedtime youll need to wake her earlier; thats impressively late for a 3 year old. Earlier works for us as we leave the house at 7.30 on work days

9.30-7am sounds amazing.
My daughter sleeps from 12pm wakes up lots and lots then finally wakes up at 8am. I’m losing the plot.

Day before yesterday she woke up 4 times before 2am. I’m currently in another room for the first time and dh is with her.

Throughout the day she isn’t tired and is happy to play and chit chat.

It’s messed up my sleep though. I feel like I can’t sleep through the night anymore and keep waking up after a sleep cycle.

I wouldn’t class this as low sleep needs! 10.5hours is quite a solid stretch. My son used to sleep 12-4 that killed me right off, thank fully he grew out of it by age 4

Sorry but I don't think adults should be needing 10.5 hours sleep? Surely you have 2 - 2.5 hours 'free' then you get 8 to 8.5 hours sleep. If you want that free time to be in the evening then you'll have to wake her earlier to get an earlier bedtime.
