I have a 14 month old son who will only spend half the night in his cot, he will always end up in our bed at some point. I am not sleeping well as I am worried about him climbing out so would like to transition him into his own double floor bed (as I will inevitably end up in with him most nights) in a baby proofed bedroom.
I purchased this mattress as it matched the firmness required but would also not kill my back - www.roomtogrow.co.uk/product/premium-pocket-sprung-mattress-small-double-120x190cm/
The wrong mattress was delivered, and when I spoke to the sales rep he quite aggressively told me that the one I bought is absolutely not suitable for a toddler.
I have had very severe anxiety around my sons sleeping location (we bought a new mattress for our bed when we were co-sleeping with him as a newborn - it was the most firm and uncomfortable mattress ever. With this in mind, I am trying to figure out if I should get a refund and find a better one or if he is just pushing his luck in getting me to keep the one I have currently (the wrong one).
What are other toddlers sleeping on in floor beds? Any advice?
