Feeding to sleep not working

Mums, I have a 6 month old breast fed baby who only goes to sleep by feeding since birth. She has always screamed being rocked, will get upset eventually with bum pats, sushing, diesnt like dummy’s or bottles, other people trying to out her to bed. Feeding to sleep is not working very well for me, tbh it never has. It takes between 1-3 hours to get her transferred in to the cot for the night, and generally wakes every hour or 2 and almost impossible during the day. Some nap she legit is attached to my nipple. Will not sleep in a carrier (screams), car is hit and miss. On a rare occasion I can get her in to the pram by feeding to sleep for first nap. I’ve tried leaving her and waiting for her to just fall asleep and she can get to midday or later before finally crashing and then bedtime is usually a disaster

I am really at a loss and so I exhausted. Has anyone been here and have any ideas on how I can change this? Missing spending time with my bigger kid

We did some sleep training at 6 months as we moved from cosleeping and feeding to sleep to DC being in their own bed. We did the shh pat/gradual retreat method and after 3 nights both DS were able to get themselves to sleep pretty quickly without getting upset. This also meant they started self settling for naps too so we tried to be at home for at least one nap for the first few months to build consistency.

Thanks for the response. She doesn’t seem to respond to patting when I have tried she just rolls about and whinges at me. Is this how it begun for you? I did try some extended patting about a month ago for 40 minutes and no luck and she got to the point where she was screaming and I couldn’t settle in the cot
