Hey everyone I’d love your advice. My daughter two next week was sleep trained and happily fell asleep independently (even while we were unexpectedly living in Wales to care for my mum for a few months).
Since coming home a month ago she wants me to stay in the room while she falls asleep and wakes 1–2 times a night checking I’m there. If I go in she falls back to sleep.
Bedtime is now taking 90 minutes and I’m exhausted, if I try to leave the room she says she’s scared and clings on to me. She wakes around 6:45–7:00, naps from around 12:30–2:00, and usually doesn’t fall asleep until 8:30–8:40 with me staying in the room, if stay she’s happy chatting away about the day.
If your previously sleep-trained toddler regressed around this age, did you get strict and go back to your original sleep training routine, or did you stay with them until it passed? What actually worked? I don’t know how to get her to feel confident again.
