Advice for 12 month old poor sleeper

I have 12 month old twins; t1 sleeps great, t2 not so good! He has gone through the night before but since Christmas time things have gotten so much worse. We are up several times a night and now I’m back at work something really needs to change. They are unwell with a bug having started nursery so I know illness will be a frequent thing for a while, but how do I improve things? Currently we go in quickly to him as they share a room and we don’t want to wake t1. We pick him up and he falls asleep in our arms and we put him back in his cot. The cycle repeats every hour or so. We’ve tried patting him but I can’t bend over his cot for 20+ mins at a time. I’ve thought of co-sleeping but we don’t have room for a floor bed. Would a sleep consultant be worth it? I worry as it’s expensive and not regulated, and also no guarantee it will work. Please if anyone has any advice it would be greatly received x

Struggling with my 15 month old too. So i feel your pain.

However it has got better since I removed bottle snd been patting to sleep. My other baby fell asleep in my arms until near 2 and slept through! All so different which having twins you know more than anyone!

What’s the usual schedule (morning wake , nap(s), bedtime?) it might be that twin 2 is lower sleep needs so needs less nap time or a later bedtime.
