2.5 Year old waking 5am

Hi all

My child is 2 and a half, a couple of weeks ago we took the sides off his cot and since then he is waking everyday at 5am. Before taking the sides up he was waking 7.30am.

Every day I am persevering with constantly putting him back in his bed until 6, at which point I’ve had enough. He is very wide awake and can’t get himself back to sleep.

Does anyone have any tips? Did this happen to anyone else when removing the cot sides? How long did it last?

thanks!

we went to a bed at 12 months no issue so cant really help there, but is he still napping?

The clocks are about to change.
Id make use of that, and turn 5am into 6am - you may well find making dinner half an hour (or an hour if you can) later helps too.

@EmbarrassmentLovesCompany very true. Ooo that’s a good idea on the dinner front will try that. It’s just he slept every single night without fail til 7.30 until the cot sides went down. Now he seems to wake up at 5 and run out of his room
