2.5 year old won’t sleep without me rocking him

correction- My 2.5month old used to fall asleep in his rocker alone, now he needs me to hold and rock him. This means he cries and cries until I do it, he has gone the whole day not sleeping even an hour… please can anyone advise. I try to change his nappy, feed, dummy, swaddle, white noise, vibrating rocker, dimmed lights but he just cries until I come and pick him then he will fall asleep but my back is gone from walking and rocking him and I’m at breaking point.

2 years or 2 months ? Your post is confusing

2.5 months or years?

If 2.5 months I would put him in the pram and take him for a walk. Don't leave him awake too long in the morning before you get if down for his first nap - I'd start winding down after an hour for first nap at that age, 90mins-2 hours after that.

So after he wakes up in the morning, change feed him and then when it gets to a hour put him back to sleep again? When I put him in the pram he screams if he’s still awake, should I ignore and keep pushing and not pick him up

Feed, change, play a little, wrap him up with a dummy, into the pram and go for a walk until he falls asleep.
