What do you do with a 7 mo who fights sleep so hard she vomits???

This isn't with me leaving her to cry, this is with me trying everything, hloding her, soothing her, calming her, taking her to bed with me, swaddling, not swaddling.... The only guaranteed way to get her to sleep gently is to take her out in the pram, but this isn't helping her to learn to sleep in her cot. Any ideas?

is it every night?

Oooh, sorry, didn't make this clear - this is just during the day. Have been working on her bedtime and now she goes down, sleepy but awake and I stay with her til she goes to sleep. Its been a gradual process, but now can get her to sleep with nothing more onerous than a bit of head patting - quite a breakthrough - I was cuddling her to sleep until about 3 weeks ago. The big problem now is the day time naps. And I suspect she may be teething which may not help at the moment, but she's never been brilliant at napping.

MInicooper, can't offer advice but my 6 mo DS will only sleep in the pram or car during the day. Tried with the cot but to no avail. I actually think it makes us more mobile though as we don't have to be at home for his naps. I also bought a pram rocker to put the pram on to help him sleep!

DS would only sleep in his (moving) pushchair when outside for ages - can't remember when he first started napping in his cot but was prob later than 7 mo. I'd go with it for now if you can, esp if she's going down OK at night. I got lots of exercise out of it anyway
