Will I need to swaddle DS when he's here (due next week). I have enough blankets and sheets to do this no problem but will he not get too warm?

We live in a converted cottage where the upstairs bedrooms are all South facing so get pretty warm during the day. Trying to keep curtains shut to minimise heat but if I don't swaddle, should I just let him sleep in vest, sleepsuit and a top sheet or should I still use a blanket?

I know he must sleep on his back and I am probably just panicing now that the due date is ever closer but I am doubting what I have read up on because I have read too much!

My little boy only slept while swaddled, the only problem being that his room was well into 30'c. Spoke to my hv who said as long as the swaddle cloth is 100% cotton he should be fine. He was!!!

I swaddled with a hemmed half a cot sheet in the summer - dd just had bodysuit on underneath.
Good luck with your birth!
