I have a baby who is almost 2 months old. She naps for about 20 minute at a time but is always so tired. Im confused because shes constantly yawning and falling asleep but she'll be down like i said for about 20 minute and wake straight up. She doesnt do the typical wake, feed, 'play' then sleep schedule. I know this isnt always the case as this isnt my first baby. I was thinking its because shes so over tired and fights it and due to her age she hasnt linked sleep cycles but now im reading it could be to do with sleep pressure. Maybe its a case of being under stimulated? Does anyone know if I tweak her awake time by maybe 10 minute or so and actually keep her awake and active, will this help build sleep pressure and help her to nap for just a little longer?

Are you putting her down to sleep? Mine never slept more than 15-20 mins if I put them down, but would do a couple of hours if they were on me or if I was out and about and they were napping in the carrier.

It doesnt matter if I have her laid on me or lay her down its both the same every time. Sometimes being laid on me makes it worse cause we both get too hot 🤦🏻‍♀️
