I’m really hoping some of you mumsnet’ers can help a sleep deprived mother out!

my son is 8, was diagnosed autism at 3 Sleep has always been a bit of a battle! he has no issues falling to sleep but staying sleeping is impossible.

he is YouTube obsessed, so over the last couple of months I have limited screen time to now eventually taking his iPad off him completely. I would say he’s adjusted to this fine now as he no longer asks for it.

he does have tv after school and he gets to watch Netflix to fall asleep in bed, he wakes up between 2-3 EVERYNIGHT will not go back to sleep he’s constantly wanting to watch Youtube.

I do turn the tv off, tell him he can’t watch it and go back to bed but he just puts it on quiet. I do this ALL night I’m really struggling with it at the moment.
iv been to the doctors, been to sleep groups and I can’t say anything has worked.

they just suggest.
-limit screen time before bed
-warm milk before bed (he won’t drink)
-warm bath before bed
-story
-massage

but like I said, him falling asleep isn’t a problem him staying asleep is.

do anyone have any ideas or been through anything similar and done anything that’s helped your little ones sleep?

thank you in advance.
