Hi all
looking for some advice or suggestions on sleep training or getting your baby to fall asleep on their own .
Our daughter is coming up to 8 months old and has been co sleeping with us in our bed. The way so far we have been getting her to sleep at night or for naps is either by feeding her ( my wife breastfeeding ) and she falls asleep or by rocking her .
Once she has fallen asleep we have started putting her in the cot and that has been going ok-ish but we want to start getting her to be able to fall asleep by herself .
I have looked at Taking Cara Babies sleep course and I have to say it looks pretty brutal so kind of hesitant ( the short story seems to be that you put them in the cot , if they start crying you wait 5 mins , give them a quick re assurance then leave , the. Wait 10 mins , repeat then 15 mins repeat until the fall asleep )
so wanted to ask here - what did you do and any advice ?
