Mothercare fold down bed guard

I hope one of you lovely MN can help us. We just bought a fold down bed guard from e-bay but there are no instructions. I've emailed the seller but wondered if any of you can help. We've put it together but the catches to make it fold down don't seem to be working. It arrived with them folded down, I straightened them to put the guard together and now they're stuck. Please tell me the secret

not sure if yours is the same but mine is a push down pull up to open bars to fold them down do you have pic of the one you have?

Bubblagirl - thanks for replying. We ended up going into Mothercare to have a look and found that half of the buttons were missing which is why we couldn't work it. All sorted now. Ebayer really apologetic, given us refund etc etc. Thanks again!
