My little girl is 9 months and driving us nuts at night! We go to put her to bed in the evening but she wakes soon after. She takes hours to be able to be finally put down. Usually 10/11 pm. She wakes for a bottle still and used to go back to sleep till about 6)7. But for the last month she's waking a lot, moaning in her sleep, not wanting to be put down. We are so exhausted! She won't nap well either. I honestly don't know what to do!
Doesn't help that we have two boys who wake up between 5 and 6 .
Help!

It’s been a while since I had tiny ones but I think when mine ate and what they ate had quite a bearing on things at night, at this stage. Does she nap late in the day?

It sounds like she has too much day sleep but you said she doesn’t nap well? What naps does she usually have? Does she need a later bedtime so shes more tired?

She seems to be catnapping. Today she managed a 1hr 15 min which finished at 12. She's getting tired now but would probably wake her after an hour...

One hour 15 mins is not a cat nap 🤣 mine never napped more than 30 mins at that age! It’s late to be starting a 2nd nap at this time. I’d be waking her by a specific time in the morning; do a maximum 30 min nap in the morning; then 1 hour in the afternoon. She needs to be more tired for bedtime.

Sounds like she's uncomfortable/in pain?

Teeth? Digestion? Illness?

Don't forget this age is also when they start getting separation anxiety!

Today was unusual! Usually she sleeps 15 minutes here and there

I drove myself round the bend trying to put mine to bed at 7pm and then they would just wake up 30 mins later. Should have just accepted 7pm was waaaaay too early for my baby’s sleep needs.

Check out the Huckleberry 9 month sleep schedule. It'll give you a good idea of wake windows, number of naps, bedtime etc. You might have the wake windows not long enough now she's getting older which could account for the short naps.

Our twins don't nap in the day anymore they go to bed around 6:30 and that's them till 7am. If they did nap they would be energized at night lol
