9 month old waking hungry

I have been very fortunate in that my 9 month old has slept through since 12 weeks old. He will always wake at around 5:45 - 6am. This is fine for us as we need to start the day to get him to childminders anyway. However, this last week he has woken at 4am!!!! I thought it might just be the new 2 nap adjustment, so I have capped naps, moved bedtime slightly later, moved nap timings, nothing works. This morning, I fed him, and it settled him back to sleep until 5:15. He has just started crawling, so could he genuinely be more hungry due to burning more calories??? Am I missing something!?! I can't believe I am having to feed again during the 'night'??!??!?!?!?!?

Night feeds are normal up to 12 months, and beyond, particularly if breastfeeding. You have been incredibly / unusually fortunate with night sleep! My 15 month old still has a BF around 4/5am, she is hungry then so why not. If you prefer not to feed at night, try a snack before bed.

totally normal and also there’s often a sleep regression around 8 months ish.

Babies often tend to either fuss at the boob or feed more to up your supply before a growth spurt/ developmental leap. You just have to be child led with these things. Sleep wise i found progress is be er linear m
