A while back I posted about my baby only sleeping ten hours at night. Well after a couple of months disruption of international travel, illness and teething, we had just got back to our normal pattern for a couple of weeks when suddenly she switched to sleeping 9 hours at night. After my bedtime routine, spending time with partner, tidying up etc, I am exhausted! Is this just a phase or her new normal? This has been going on nearly a week now.

Shes now 16 months, on 1- 1 1/2 hours of naps in the day, split in half, and not grumpy when she wakes up in the morning. Still cosleeping and feeding to settle in the night. Her daytime wake windows are still only about 4 hours, maybe 5 if she really gets into something.

Any advice welcome. I tried moving her bedtime earlier and she only woke up earlier.

Babies will need different amounts of sleep at different stages, unfortunately you’ll just have to adapt .

9 hours at night is normal if she’s having 1 1/2 hours naps. Before her 1st birthday my dd only had one nap, not two. My 2 year old sleeps around 11 hours at night but no naps.
