teething gel in the night?

ds is a sensative soul and is currently waking every 1-2 hours with the two top teeth coming through.

he is not a fan of teething gel when awake but he goes of to sleep sooooo much better when he has a bit on. I think it will help him lessen the night wakings but I am worried that it will disturb him to much if I put it on when he is asleep.

any thoughts?

you could always try it and see. is he getting calpol or other baby paracetamol to help with the pain?

Divastrop · 10/06/2008 20:59

i give it to my dd3(15 months) in the night, but i usually put a bit on her dummy as that doesnt disturb her as much.

i find the baby ibuprofen works well for teething pain.

yes we do a good round of both calpol and ibuprofen on the worst nights.

i had thought of smearing a little round the teat on the bottle to see if that would work.

i just don't need him howelling the house down at 3am so don't want to get it to wrong.

guess i shall just have to try an itsy bitsy bit first.
