Sleeping bags - not for everyone?

DD1 got on great with her sleeping bag, but I think DD2 seems to find hers a bit uncomfortable, because she is such a roller and gets quite tangled up - I keep having to go in and straighten it out. The last couple of nights I haven't put her in the bag because it's so hot and she seems to get to sleep much more quickly (and stay asleep!) Anyone with a similar experience? Hoping this might be just a stage because I have loads of sleeping bags and they are quite expensive so was hoping to get a bit more use!

DS loved being in a grobag. DD hated being in one.

In the winter, I used fleecy sleepsuits over her pyjamas/babygro.

Still have lots of grobags left - must get round to putting them on ebay some time

Interesting... yes, I have a lot of 'must put them on ebay' things too!
Good tip with fleecy sleepsuits, but I can see her trying to climb out of the cot. That's the great thing about the bag - restricts escape strategies

Idris or anyone else : got any ideas for stopping legs getting stuck in the cot bars. Apparently cot bumpers are a no no until babies are 12 months.
Thanks!

You can get mesh bumpers -- although also I think FSID now say that bumpers are OK even before 12 months... yes, their website says "research has shown that they have neither good nor bad effects in terms of cot death risk."

Oh great, thanks for that PortAndLemon!

DD loved it, DS hated it.

dd hated them (i also used to faff about with fleecey sleepsuits) and then she suddenly decided they were okay. don't dispair, your dd2 might change her mind.
