What size floorbed for breastfed 14 month old? 🛌

We’re thinking of transitioning our 14.5mo DS to a floor bed. We have co-slept since birth and he does stir overnight to suckle/feed. I don’t plan on night weaning any time soon so wondering what size floor bed we should go for?

Any tips on how to manage the transition also greatly welcomed, thank you!

We had a small double at that age. (Actually my 9 year old is still in his!). Great for feeding now and means even when he's weaned if you need to get in for a cuddle or a story there's room. And no need to buy another bed for a while!

We've ordered a normal single, unfortunately that's the biggest size that will fit in her room, and we don't have another room. No idea how the transition will go! We need to secure the chest of drawers to the wall.

Thank you both. It’s so hard to decide. I like the look of the ones with the little rail but I’d be concerned he might bop his head off them one day!

We've got a single thinking he can stay in it longer term, its big enough (just!) But I would probably go for a small double if I was buying it again
