Vomiting at bed time

Since around 10 months of age my now 4 year old has been a good sleeper and slept through the night. The last few months have been steadily getting worse and now bedtime has become very difficult. She knows the bedtime routine and we try to make it calm with a story before bed, however she starts crying as soon as she knows its nearly bedtime. She crys and screams and gets so stressed that she vomits everywhere, all she wants to do is to sleep in mummy's bed and then she's happy and will go to sleep.

She's getting so worked up that she's sometimes shaking, calming her down is very difficult even if I cuddle her. She also won't vomit in a bowl so it's a big clean up everytime.

She wants to sleep with me so if I give in I will need to be in bed for 7pm which isn't really workable.

How can I stop this? we have tried a night light, putting her little brother in the same room which worked for a few weeks, favourite teddies ect.

Can you lie with her in your bed, and move away once she's asleep? Or put a mattress on the floor in your room?
