Does my 15 month old have too much sleep?

My toddler has never been a good sleeper always woke up multiple times but goes straight back off when breastfed. We cosleep from the first wake up which is around 10-11pm.
he goes to bed usually at 7 ish and wakes at 6-6.30. But on a sleep group on Facebook they said it was too early a bedtime and he’s sleeping too much which is why he wakes up so often so push his bedtime back to 8 or 9. There’s no way he could stay up that long so I’ve pushed it back to 7.30, but now he’s sleeping in between 6-7.30 but averagely waking at 7.
he naps for about 1.5 - 2 hours once a day.
does that sound like too much sleep? Averaging 11.5-12 hours at night. Could that be why he wakes up often at night? (3-4 times in a typical good night, up to 8 on a bad night)

The amount of sleep sounds normal.

If he's waking a lot it might be that he hasn't learned to fall asleep by himself.

My dc slept 12 hours per night with a 2 to 3 nap during the day at that age and rarely woke at night so I don't think the two things are connected. (Well the first two did, dc number 3 had different ideas).
