What tog do you used for your babies swaddle? Looking to purchase the “love to dream” not sure if I need 1.5tog or 2.5?
do you use a blanket on top of a swaddle? I’m confused

I had an October baby and used a 2.5 tog with vest and baby grow underneath. Never needed a blanket on top.

Same, you’ll drop tog in spring!

It depends on the temp of your house, we keep ours between 20-22 so use a 1 tog. No need for any blanket using a love to dream swaddle.

I’d probably go 2.5 tog as well, unless you tend to have the heating on overnight. Love to dream have a temperature guide and guide to what to dress them in underneath the swaddle on their website, which is a good starting point.

You don’t need a blanket with the swaddle, you’d normally use either/or. I will say that some babies like being swaddled, mine didn’t 😅 I had the love to dream swaddle thing but only used it once or twice.

We are also in London - we bought a gro egg room thermometer and then went by this chart. https://www.babycentre.co.uk/a25024140/what-should-my-baby-wear-at-night-infographic

We dont have the heating on over night but generally it only dropped 1-2c overnight so we used the room temp at bedtime as a guide. Remember baby will be in your room for the first six months at least so if the temp drops, you can always add a vest during a night wake.

What should my baby wear at night? (Infographic)

Making sure your baby isn't too hot or too cold at night can be tricky. Our infographic has everything you need to make sure your baby is comfortable.
