Hi Everyone,
my nine month old who has always slept well. Has now started waking up for long periods in the night.
he has three naps a day. There is no sign of him wanting to drop the third nap.
he goes down to sleep around 7:30/8:30 he usually wakes around 11 it is a struggle
to settle him. He will fall asleep on us but then wake up as soon as he is in the cot.
he will then wake again around 1am and then again around 4am.
i havent tried sleep training or sleep consult. I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice? Thank you in advance.

At 9 months I would try dropping to 2 naps a day. Often sleep gets disrupted when they’re ready to drop a nap.

thank you, how would you reccomend doing so?

Depends what time he has naps now, but I’d drop one of them (maybe if he has an early morning one drop that), and push the nap to say 10am and then another at 2 or 3pm. Bed time at 7pm.

Sleep was funny for us at 8/9 months, now at 10 months her sleep is great and I think it’s because I keep her up 4-5 hours from last nap to bedtime, also moved bedtime from 7 to 8. She only sleeps 60-90 minutes total day sleep, that’s all I allow. I might be wrong but I think this why she’s now sleeping through most nights.
