I’ve just wrote a big post and managed to press ‘back’ by accident so I’ll try and re-write it in a speedy way.
Basically my 28 month old never used to require much comfort to get to sleep, she would self settle quite easily. Recently with all the back to school bugs (and also starting potty training) we’ve had a nightmare with multiple wake ups and started bringing into her our bed. Consequently she now can’t fall asleep on her own. I know it’s our own fault for doing that but realistically no one’s perfect & it’s just the easiest option at the time.
The method we’ve been trying is basically to just keep putting her back repeatedly, but she gets so angry that we’re putting her back that she starts thrashing around the bed and headbutting the headboard and for a few nights now she’s made herself throw up because she’s been distressed. I’m really not sure what to do. I know it’s a comfort thing because she is asking for cuddles and to go in our bed
