15 month going through the 2-1 nap situation atm! I have a 4 year old so I am aware of the transition period etc howeverrrrr dd has a school pick up right at 12pm which is his desired nap/lunchtime! Anyone been through this or going through this have any tips? TIA x

Set off early, get him to sleep in the buggy, and pick up with him still asleep. It's not ideal as you don't get a sit down and probably means some hanging around. Otherwise you'll probably have to alter wake up/bed times to try and move the nap.

unfortunately the school is too far to walk to so it will be in the car but if he falls asleep on the school run and wakes on return that’s the nap out the window lol ahhh 2 naps was so much better😂 also when does lunch occur then-the joys!

Does the 4YO have to be collected at midday? That’s always going to be a nightmare for the youngest’s naps and if you’re currently doing 4 mornings of nursery it might be easier to swap to 2 full days.

Yea it’s preschool not a nursery or creche. She does 5 days 9-12

I think you just have to work out a system for transferring them. When I’ve had to do similar I get the 4yo out -under pain of death of not talking - let them into the house and put something on the telly for them. Then lift the little one out and settle them in the middle of our bed (much easier than putting them in the cot, as you can lie with them if they stir).

Give the big one lunch while the little one finishes their nap. The little one has a decent snack before you set off to school, then a proper lunch when they wake up.

You will lose your downtime / 121 time with the big one, which sucks.
