Regression? 6 month old

So since a month old my baby slept 12 hours straight through the night without any awakenings until he turned 4.5 months old then he was up every few hours. I guessed it was the dreaded sleep regression.

this went on for about a month and then was time to move him from the next to me crib into his big cot (which is still in our room just further from our bed) .

He used to require a breastfeed to get to sleep but has now taken to a dummy and will fall asleep with that. But he never seems to have gotten back to being a good sleeper. I also have gotten into a bad habit of bringing him into our bed and fall back asleep cuddling which I think he has now gotten used to. Soon as he is back in his cot he will sleep 2 hours maximum. Any tips to lengthen the hours he’s sleeping? I have switched to 2.5 tog sleep sack as I think temperature was an issue but he seems cosy now. Is it just separation anxiety or could he still be going through a sleep regression?
