DS (just 20 months) has always been a fantastic sleeper and loves a lie in. Yesterday he didn't get up until 11am, went back to bed at 2.30pm and didn't get up until 6.30pm. He went to bed at 10pm and got up at 12 this morning!! By 2.30pm he was begging me to go back to bed. When he is awake all he does is eat.

MIL has said all 4 of her children have done this around this age and that he is just having a growth spurt, but I would like some reasurrance from some others aswell please.

My DD (same age) sleeps very well but for nowhere near that amount of time, she'll sleep around 11 hours and night and between 1.5 and 2 hours during the day, all in one go usually around lunchtime.

That is what he normally sleeps Elmosgirl.

I think I will leave him for now and see what he does tomorrow.

Looks like he was just preparing himself for a 39degree temperature and an up all nighter!!
