Help! 7 months old EBF nurses to sleep every 2 hours

Help! My 7 month old is waking every 2 hours, sometimes every hour and a half. He won’t settle unless I nurse him but obviously he’s not hungry every time. He goes back down within 15 mins but it’s so hard. I’m shattered. Someone tell me they also have/gad this. On top of this he wakes between half 5 and 6 every morning too. I just want to know if I’m doing the right thing by nursing him back every time? And to hear other people in the same position as me. It’s not just my baby RIGHT?!?! 🥱 🥱

I remember my DH coming into the baby’s room after I’d been AWOL for a while and I actually said to him ‘she’s trying to kill me’ - I bloody meant it though 🤣 the 7 month sleep deprivation was a WHOLE other level and exhausted doesn’t begin to cover it. I can’t remember when things turned a corner but they did (promise!). You’re doing amazing x

Will he take a dummy? How mobile is he? There was a stage at night where I just sleep topless with the baby and he kind of sat up lent over and helped himself l. During the day could you try feeding him then jiggling him slightly so hes slightly alert when you put him down?
the thing is (i remember it well!) the only way to stop it is to keep refusing and comfort /settle in other ways to break the habit, which is easier said than done when you know just feeding him quickly will sort it out quickly and your desperately sleep deprived. Is it a new thing? Could he be having a growth spurt and trying to build up your milk supply ? I feel for you!

Thank you! I just need to hear other people suffered the same fate and I’m not just doing something wrong 😖😖

No you’re not, it’s just brutal at times ( a lot of the times) . Even if you do nothing atm , it will end at some point, just hold on to that! Is there anyone that could give you a break?
